Discord's Christmas Day gift to the IDDQD Press has been to shut down its server and ban the NEETzsche#1337 account that managed it. Needless to say, they will not be getting any more of my shekels for their emojis. And they should not get yours, either.

This definitely wasn't fabricated by Discord.

Deplatforming is a major problem in our culture, and the solution is not to keep circumnavigating their bans, but to use services that don't deploy those bans in the first place. For this reason, IDDQD will no longer use any kind of Discord server. If it needs Discord to continue its growth, then it will stop growing, and might even fail.

In place of its Discord server, we will use an IRC channel located on Rizon's IRC network. This network does not have a terribly quick banhammer to swing, not compared to Discord, and that likely isn't going to change.

If you don't know how to use IRC and want to stay in touch with the friends you made on IDDQD's Discord server, download an IRC client. There are a ton! So you can pick whichever one you like.
